A Message from Our President
Greetings Fellow Alumni, Associates and Honorary Members
There is a saying, “The Second Time is a Charm.” You all nominated me as the President of the BTW/JAB Alumni Association a second time and I am truly honored. I will make every effort to validate your trust in me. We are living in very trying times with the loss of many of our members and the greatest number of our members are getting older. That is why it is incumbent on each and every one of us to make a concerted effort to keep our organization alive and viable.
The one thing that I have always admired about our association and Teague, Texas is that there are some amazing people from this small east Texas town. They have lived, loved, worked hard and have made many amazing accomplishments not only in Teague but in the world. I’m so proud to call Teague home and to know each and every one of you.
Our goal is to award our gifted students with scholarships and support to continue the legacy of the great things their forebearers have accomplished to keep BTW/JAB alive.
I shared with you at the reunion that I will work hard to keep our association viable and moving forward. I will need each and everyone’s help and support to work together to make and keep BTW/JAB alive and strong!
I love you all and I pray God’s grace and blessing over each and every one of you.
We are all in this together and thank you for your trust in me!!!!

BTWJAB Alumni Association
Welcome to the official Alumni Association for the Booker T. Washington High School and J. A. Brooks Elementary School of Teague, Texas. The BTW/JAB Alumni Association is a community of former students, teachers, administrators, and friends that cherishes the spirit, memories, and education received in years passed.
The Association seeks to preserve the legacy of both schools and pass it along to future generations. To accomplish its goals, the association sponsors a walk-a-thon, holiday social, and biennial reunions. It also created an education club to raise funds that allows it to give scholarships each year to deserving high school seniors that want to continue their educations. |
